After the beginning
Begin with compassion.
When we begin with compassion, we have a reference for the rest of our day and for our attitude toward others.
We may be struggling with an immediate issue, or with a long-term challenge.
Others have the same struggles.
Our compassionate attitude toward ourselves allows us to be generous toward others.
We can welcome others to the workplace with this compassion in mind.
As we go about our work, we can infuse it with compassion.
Our interactions will support each other in a deeper way.
Without the need to either confide or vent, our day will go better.
The cushion of compassion will underlie the way we deal with each other.
Fill yourself up with compassion over and over during the day.
Let the day be filled and fulfilled.
Carry compassion with you on errands.
Carry compassion with you to lunch.
Carry compassion with you to the grocery store.
Carry compassion with you on the drive home.
As you walk in the door with your groceries and your compassion, you will have a different feeling.
You will only be tired from work, not worn out with friction.
Prepare your meal with compassion.
Talk to your children with compassion.
Especially, listen with compassion.
Their issues, experiences, problems and triumphs can all be received with compassion.
You wrap your family in compassion as you listen from your reservoir of compassion.
As you complete your chores and preparation for the next day, wrap yourself in compassion.
Have a restful sleep.
