Balance of the physical and mental systems

We find our best balance when our physical and mental systems are healthy.

Having access to nutritious food allows our bodies to process it in the way they are designed.

Growing food in a way which nurtures and nourishes the planet, balances the planetary system.

It is good when we are all able to trust that our well-being is the guiding principle behind how we grow, produce and receive our food.

We may shop at organic grocery stores.

We may have a membership at a CSA, Community Supported Agriculture, farm.

We make choices which support our physical well-being.

We feel the difference in a calm, energetic and balanced body.

Our mental systems are best in balance when we treat others with dignity and respect and receive the same courtesies.

Discovering the power of “I love me” set me on the road to healing serious imbalance from negative conditions as a young child.

Creating a nurturing and uplifting atmosphere for learning contributes to mental well-being.

Supporting my music students was natural as I designed special ways for them to learn to read music.

They were able to be successful from the beginning and enjoy their confidence as I added on more and more complex elements.

In life, we can act from a compassionate basis, knowing that there are so many challenges to mental well-being.

As we create a nurturing household, we emerge from it with the uplifting practices to create nurturing communities.

We contribute to mental health every time we recognize each other as individuals.

We relieve tensions and uncertainties by interacting with each other in appreciative ways.

We are able to participate in cooperative playgroups, community gardens, and neighborhood potluck dinners.

We contribute to creating safe places for those in need through food banks and shelters.

We become aware of resources in our communities and explore solutions to chronic problems in order to contribute to systems of physical and mental well-being.
