Young Persons Mentor/Uplifting Parenting –
Strength in the Home
You are the one who sets the boundaries in your home.
As you educate your children in responsibilities and love, they take this knowledge and feeling into the world around them.
You are attentive to what comes in and what goes out of your home.
When children return, it is vital to separate what belongs back into your home and what does not belong.
This is done through comparison and contrast.
The courtesies which you teach can be easily observed and gently corrected.
When doing homework together, you can create a discussion about the topic.
It is important to observe both the information and the attitudes which come back into your home.
This is part of your household maintainance.
Keeping a clean home involves outward chores and responsibilities and inward cleanliness.
An uplifting attitude about oneself is complimented with an uplifting attitude about others.
A sense of well-being throughout the household is shared through a sense of well-being for others.
We are all privileged to live on this earth and to care for it and all who live here.
The strength of your home is through applying high values and standards to everyone within it, and to sharing a sense of respect and dignity for others.
What you bring into and send out of your home is uplifting.
It attracts uplifting attitudes and practices.
When the opposite is presented, it has no place in your home.
Your home is your haven of purity for all who live in it.
You have the strength to take steps to safeguard what comes into your home and to expel what does not meet your standards.
Any resistance can be dealt with in a firm and understanding manner.
It is good for everyone to understand the difference between what is uplifting and what is not and to learn to choose what is good for their life.
