Discerning what needs to be done

Young Persons Mentor/Uplifting Parenting –

We live in a household of uplifting ideas and practices.

Each time we discern a way of including more peace, we activate it.

We establish routines and live in a clean environment.

Everyone knows their role in maintaining the purity of the household, its space and the inner spaces of our character.

Every member of the household knows how to express respect through courtesies as a habit.

They initiate uplifting communication in this way.

They show their own self-respect by how they address others.

Our discernment of the character of our household determines how we raise our children.

We give them the intellectual stimulation they need.

We provide for outside resources for their development.

We hold them in love every time we think about them.

Through our love, we discern what is needed even when we cannot figure it out using all our other resources.

This is how we meet challenges.

Challenges are inevitable through our interaction in the world.

They are little challenges at first, little temptations.

As we are true to our guidance, we build a strong character.

We help our children understand how to deal with temptations and support them as they learn to take a stand.

Their most important relationship is within and we show them how to access this guidance through our example.

We give them resources to live in a way which expresses well-being for all.

We uphold them in their true, strong character.

We show them it is possible to change course when we discern a better, more uplifting one.

We maintain the intergrity of our household.

Through discernment we restore what is lost and establish harmony.
