Practice active listening

Practice Active Listening

Our mind is active all the time.

We can direct it when we are conscious of its activity.

We can feel whether we are engaged in fearful or uplifting thinking.

How our body reacts, leads us to prefer calm.

I learned to pay attention when my body became so tense that I became ill.

It took a lot of attention to learn how to relax myself instead of reacting.

Gradually, I became aware of triggers.

I learned to catch myself and to slow down.

I began replacing the fearful thoughts with uplifting ideas.

It took a while to convince myself that I could change the direction of my life and the way my body was feeling.

I continued with my practice and learned more and more steps to maintain my peace within and without.

I listen within on a daily, and sometimes hourly, basis.

I am led to take effective tiny steps which do not stress me out.

In fact, these steps add to my peace.

I can trust where they are taking me.

I see the results of practicing peace.

My ideas take shape in ways which benefit me and others.

My active listening allows me to have unstressed meditative time.

This is always refreshing.

I stay away from tension as much as possible.

I return to myself to peace through active inner listening.

This has the effect of giving me a beautiful life which I have time to enjoy.

I am very grateful to learn the steps which help me to maintain my health.

I am happy to share my practice of inner listening with others.
