Creating a Better World

Shared Global Vision –

Creating a Better World

When you see a need and you empower yourself to do something about it, you are a hero.

You overcome the obstacles by the strength of your great desire.

Such people act with great compassion which goes beyond ordinary personal abilities.

They create a desire in other people to see the thing enacted.

Without any experience in public speaking or fund-raising, they move ahead, taking the many tiny steps required to put their uplifting idea into action.

Their uplifting energy draws support.

Adults and children have been moved to take action through their emotional connection to service.

They have sewn teddy bears for sick children, created toiletry packs for street people, performed in hospitals and on the street and in orphanages.

They have created businesses sewing coats for street people and employed them, started Dignity Villages by coordinating services available for veterans, and for people with mental illnesses, started morning runs at shelters and attracted running shoes for participants.

They have started businesses which care for the environment, created recycling businesses, composting collection of kitchen waste, veggie garden installation and care.

They have started errand-running businesses for home-bound people, yard care, meal care, and conversation care.

They have started businesses on a larger scale, such as Habitat for Humanity.

They have started news businesses, such as Democracy, Now!

They have started by writing about issues and speaking about them, such as Charles Eisenstein.

They have coordianted reseach about solutions to world problems, and published their findings, such as Paul Hawken.

They have created art and sold it to take care of orphans from Ukraine.

All of these world improvement movements started with the idea of compassion and the desire to uplift the world in some way.

There are practical solutions to every problem and we can begin to act on that powerful principle.

Empowering yourself begins with your compassion and your willingness to take the many tiny steps.
