The taste of peace

Pebbles of Peace –

The Taste of Peace

One moment, a breath, is all it takes to give us a taste of peace.

When we interrupt the chaos and confusion, it opens a moment for us to move toward peace.

Tension can always be defused by a feeling of peace.

We have the opportunity to do this throughout our day.

I was grateful for the intervention of an instructor who defused a situation where I was accused of “looking daggers” at someone.

She quickly explained that I was just thinking intensely about what she had told me.

I was able to carry out the instructions I received without an escalation.

Sometimes, I am the peace-maker.

I often defuse tensions when I am standing in line.

Sometimes when I hear an angry conversation, I send out a feeling of compassion.

I know we are all facing frustrations in one way or another, so we all appreciate understanding.

Being aware and conscious of the feelings that are being shared around us, lets us take a deep breath of peace.

This adds to a lessening of tension, and others feel it.

When we habitually defuse anxieties, it allows room for clear thinking.

We no longer react in a threatened manner.

Our confidence that there is room to breathe, means there is room for a solution.

Even if there is fear about a situation, the habit of a deep, calming breath breaks it.

There is a moment to consider a different action.

Everyone is relieved.

We return to a normal sense of life. We are comforted in a significant way.

We share this comfort instead of more tension or fear.

We are dealing with a kind of compression of so much fear.

Our deep breath and the moment of clarity it gives us, moves some of the tension off.

It dissolves and we can think what is best to do.
