Young Persons Mentor/Uplifting Parenting –
A Healthy Family
My family consists of the ideas which occupy my thought.
When I was raising children, they were pre-eminent in my thoughts.
Every action was taken to comfort and provide for them.
Since there were many children, there were many demands which had to be fulfilled.
In the normal course of the day, there were so many demands, that I became overstressed.
This continued for many years, and although I was able to take care of them, I became unhealthy.
After their graduation, I was finally able to address my own health.
I had not known how to care for myself.
Learning those steps has been demanding.
Giving myself permission to love me first is a new perspective.
I have learned the value of rest.
I have even learned that rest comes first.
I am grateful for the healthy routines I did set up so that everyone learned how to do chores and how to maintain common areas of the household.
Without a restful center, there was a lot of tension.
The more I discover about rest, the more grateful I am that I survived.
Putting rest first and building support through routines will help establish a healthy household for everyone.
It begins by rejecting the idea that women need to endure more than is healthful.
Find your inner peace through your first deep breath.
Listen for the the next step.
Do this over and over again, and you will find the resources you need for health and for healthy routines.
You are worth it.
You are here to enjoy your health and family.
You can do both when you find the balance by starting with rest.
