Meditation Drawing 3.37 Less
More and more, I feel less and less concern about what other people think of me.
It has taken an enormous amount of work to realize that I exist in my own right.
I do not exist in terms of society’s demands, although I worked to fulfill them with great persistence and commitment.
I do not exist in terms of the values and practices and attitudes my family imposed on me.
I do not even exist in the attitudes and opinions of the children I raised, or my employers, or my colleagues, or my friends, or people on the street.
I simply exist.
I am happy to exist in the terms I define for myself.
I didn’t know I could do that, but it turns out that it is true.
I can hold my own opinions.
I can celebrate my own wins.
I can take on challenges which are important to me.
I was made wrong for so long that discovering that I am OK was a revelation.
I do not have to consider others’ opinions of me.
They are coming from their own viewpoints and experiences.
I can be happy in my current form.
I love choosing a direction to go and following it through.
I love learning a new skill.
I enjoy taking on a new challenge and learning what I need to complete it.
I go at my own pace.
I do not have to set any records.
I am content to be the person I have discovered is me.
Who knew?
I am free to enjoy what I love.
I am delighted to share what makes me happy and I hope you are doing the same.
