Meditation Drawing 3.39 – Normal
Let our normal behavior be full of kindness.
When we are in our right mind, we are naturally kind.
When we are frustrated and exhausted and angry, our tempers are short.
With a generation of poor nutrition and family pressures, our bodies and our society are out of balance.
As we pause and take a deep breath, we can begin the process of reinstating calm in our lives.
It is natural to be calm.
When we are calm, we can make good choices.
We can notice where things are out of proportion and we can take steps to put them back.
Our calm, clear thinking lets us evaluate where our food comes from.
Historically, food came from local sources.
Even during World War II, people grew their own food in Victory Gardens.
There is plenty of of lawn space to grow food.
Historically, people worked close to home.
Adults and children came home for lunch.
There are so many opportunities to work “remotely”, i.e., from home.
It is interesting now that the term “remote” refers to being away from the office.
With fewer pressures on transportation to work, many people can enjoy a more relaxed pace of life.
We have gradually moved away from spending time with our families to spending time away from them.
We can move back to precious family time.
We are most fulfilled by spending time with those we love.
When we are not under so much pressure for school activities, we can spend more time together.
Kind attention to each other lifts off pressure and frustration from neglect.
It is normal for our time together to be nurturing and kind.
