Comfort for the World
We build comfort for the world by practicing consistent steps.
We find ways of meeting world needs by listening for ideas with deep compassion.
Young people with compassion have been able to move others to provide comfort for other people in the world.
They have started movements to donate for water wells, and provided resources for people living on the streets.
There are Dignity Villages for veterans in Los Angeles and Eden Village in Springfield, Missouri for people with mental illnesses.
Resources were found through compassion.
Compassion is the motivating force to provide comfort.
Food Banks are organized through compassion.
Community gardens are started to utilize unused city lots, and to grow food and community.
The overflow provides for local residents.
The many solutions in “Drawdown”, by Paul Hawken, draw on the expertise of people in fields of sustainability.
Transportation, energy and materials for building are some of the topics which comfort the world with solutions for lowering greenhouse gas emissions.
Organizing fair and consistent food distribution provides comfort.
Finding approaches other than war, which is not a solution, will provide comfort.
Valuing education provides comfort through training all young people, and updating skills for adults.
Forming cooperatives provides comfort as labor and benefits are shared.
Valuing the knowledge of people in a situation of need helps provide comfort and solutions from the grassroots level.
Including everyone in the community to help implement solutions comforts everyone involved.
Having an uplifting outlook helps bring comforting and lasting solutions into view.
From our practice of receiving solutions and comfort for ourselves and our households, we know how to tune in to receive inspiring solutions for larger impact.
