  • Balanced

    Meditation Drawing 3.49 Balanced

There are so many demands on us that we have to choose to maintain a balanced life.

Over-caring for others interferes with our own self-care.

We must feed our own soul before we have something to give to others.

My view is balanced when I honor my priorities.

My day begins with inner listening.

As I listen, I am led to take the tiny steps which make up my day.

    They are orderly and harmonious.

Anything which does not belong in my day is excluded.

I have learned to distinguish between what belongs and what does not.

If I feel overwhelmed, it does not belong.

If there is a sense of confusion or hurry, it does not belong.

If there is a sense of urgency from someone else, it does not belong.

I feel most satisfied when I do not deviate from my course.

I maintain my happiness and satisfaction.

    I am fulfilled.

I have learned that my balanced life is full of happiness.

It is full of what I love to do.

It feels timeless living in this kind of balance.

I move effortlessly from one thing to the next.

Each step is part of a gentle flow.

I get done what is needed.

I have room for creativity and conversation.

I have time for reflection. I can take leisurely meals.

    I can enjoy my surroundings.

It is wonderful to care so much for myself, that I keep in balance.

  • Comfort #35 Comfort of living in peace with oneself

Comfort #35 Comfort of living in peace with oneself

My honesty and integrity extend to living in peace with myself.

They create the foundation for everything which I do.

I have cultivated a feeling of excellence in my work from very young as a music student.

From age five through grad school, I had a weekly music lesson to learn perfectly.

My teachers were rigorous and demanding.

This led me to a symphony job as a cellist.

I also acquired a habit of spiritual study from very young.

My mother read me part of a Bible lesson before school until third grade, when I was required to read it for myself.

My spiritual studies have expanded to include many traditions as I explore how spiritual needs are met in other cultures.

The feeling of peace which we gain through excellence and consistent practice are ongoing.

Because I am not expert in everything, I draw on those who are.

I appreciate their devotion to their craft, from cleaning house to creating sculptures, from landscape maintenance to devotion to sports.

Scientists and engineers learn to work with ideas and to prioritize the ones which bring them the most satisfaction in their jobs and for their own personal development.

There is peace in all activities which express our highest nature.

I also enjoy extending peace to others through my writing and art.

This is the way I was led to explore my purpose.

    Reflecting on it, I journaled.

While recovering from strained muscles, I explored graphic expression.

These have combined to give me a new inspirational business.

I am most at peace when I am expressing the ideas which come to me from inner listening.

I have released self-criticism and replaced it with self-compassion.

I have become patient with myself.

I give myself room to grow.

These are some of the ways I comfort myself through living in peace.

  • Because I’m True

Pebbles of Peace Pathways 3.46 –

    Because I’m True

I have great peace in my life because I am true to myself.

I did not know how to do this before.

I knew how to be loyal, obedient and disciplined.

But I did not know how to discover the value of myself.

It has taken a while, and I am grateful for all the signposts that led me on my way.

I have discovered the ideas that mean the most to me.

I have been faithful and very happy developing them.

I have been led to share them in specific ways.

I know that when I do this, I feel the best I have ever felt.

I have continued in my new path because of this feeling.

I am increasing in my self-respect the more I follow my own path.

Even though I am sometimes tempted to follow the old footsteps because of the old habits, I find my way back very quickly.

In fact, I no longer veer off my path.

I look over there every once in a while, and what I see confirms that I am where I most want to be.

I am living so much better now that I am true to myself.

  •  I am an inventor along my life path.

Life-Path Story Mazes – #42 I am an inventor along my life path.

I am the inventor of my new life-path.

As an inventor, I can create all the connections which I need.

I can create all the resources which I need.

I can reach out to all the experts that I need.

They are all right here, right now, in my presence.

    How does this happen?

When I tune into the Infinite, all these things are there.

I naturally connect through my relationship with the Infinite.

When I see a problem which needs a solution, I can become an inventor for that solution.

I  may see a unique solution from my point of view outside the situation.

I may see a detail which has been overlooked from my intimate familiarity with an intricate process.

From my viewpoint, once I am connected with the Universe, I have all the answers I need.

This adds freshness to my day and to my life-path.

I can be a consultant in my field.

I can become known for my originality.

I can add new, uplifting elements into my day and into my life.

I love connecting with clarity through listening within.

I have the power to invent what I need.

I love to listen for solutions.

I have an active imagination when I listen within.

Invention is the surest way to draw on originality and freshness.

Invention invests new energy into my work and my life.

Invention and creativity are natural collaborators.

They are natural attractors for genius solutions.

  • Miracles

    Meditation Drawing 3.48 Miracles

    Miracles happen every day.

Each day is a new life opportunity.

It requires simple choices, nothing major.

It does not require reform all at once – simply another look at what is happening and a desire to change it in some way.

The “some way” begins with tiny steps.

Desire is a tiny step with tremendous momentum.

In fact, the momentum is so powerful, we cannot handle it all at once.

That is why it trickles into our life over and over again, until we are propelled to take first one tiny step, then another.

Over and over again, we see that this is creating a new foundation for our life, which is a true miracle.

We gain a new viewpoint, and, because we have practiced our tiny steps, it is a secure one.

We build on our new foundation with more tiny steps, and because we have paid attention to the details, we have a secure building.

    There is no rush.

Even the desire to take us out of danger, moves us into a secure place.

We act on one sure impulsion after another, and we are are taken there.

Breath by breath, we infuse peace into our day.

Moment by moment we take our deep breath, receive the assurance of another breath and take our tiny step.

    We are moved to safety.

We are moved into the place where we have started our new foundation.

And we keep adding to it.

We are able to serve those who need what we have.

And we do have something to share.

It is one of the miracles which have been coming to us since the first desire, the first tiny step.

We are a valued member of our community and we have something significant to give.

  • Comfort of living in peace

Comfort #34 Comfort of living in peace

Discovering what I love to do and doing it, has brought me into alignment with myself.

    This gives me peace.

I have closed the distance between what I am doing and what I want to do.

I have conquered the distractions and obstacles which separated me.

Leaving this agitation behind has given me peace.

Each breath which you take in peace permeates your body.

The time you give yourself for that breath sets you on a course for peace.

This happens over and over again, as you make peace your priority.

The stresses and agitations I experienced over a lifetime led me to require peace for my body.

That is when I began my work to slow down and to listen within.

My body was in such a stressful state, that I required myself to just sit for as long as it took to calm down when I thought of doing something.

I was willing to sit for thirty minutes.

The longest I waited to calm down was twenty minutes, but there were many times when I lIstened within for ten minutes.

Gradually, I built new memories of calming down to replace the habits of agitation and stress.

I still monitor myself in order to move calmly through my day.

There is rarely a time to rush or be in a hurry.

The liberation I feel is more than physical.

I have time to enjoy myself.

I move from project to project with a sense of expectancy and joy.

I love watching each new step take place.

I am happy to celebrate it.

As a project moves toward completion, I and relaxed and grateful.

I am happy to have a new way to share inspiration and peace.

  • Flowing Peacefully

Pebbles of Peace Pathways 3.45 – Flowing Peacefully

When everything is in balance, there is a peaceful flow to the day.

Work and inspiration, preparing food and cooking it, household cleaning activities, taking care of children all fit in a smooth and balanced weave throughout the day.

For me, preparing for this peaceful flow means inspirational study and writing.

When the sense of peace overflows from my study and writing, then it manifests in the other ways.

Putting my study and writing first, and then interspersing it throughout the day even more, lets it integrate into everything I am doing.

I am finding that peace is one of the elements that I include.

It is expressed in my work and conversations.

I am not hurried or harassed.

    I am balanced and happy.

Everything that needs to be included is.

    Nothing is left out.

There is always time to include what needs to be included.

I am preparing and manifesting peace throughout my entire day.
