Living in confidence and trust

Loved Cherished Adored –
Living in Confidence and Trust
There are too many opinions and stories to be able to trust any of them.
They affect our self-worth, our economic status, our political identity, and our family relationships.
We all have different experiences and viewpoints.
The only way to deal with certainty about any aspect of life is through the confidence and trust which come from inner listening.
When we move ourselves into deep reflection, we are dealing with the Infinite Universe.
We become willing to see things from a different standpoint, a place where we are seen in terms of our spiritual identity.
We can trust that viewpoint.
We can move in accord with our highest standards and values and trust the interactions which proceed from that approach.
We gain confidence as we attract those of like-mind.
Others enjoy our high standards, and want to participate.
We can trust our interactions with people of integrity.
We are confident about our offerings and trust the way they are received.
When we experience doubt or feel as though we are misunderstood or under attack, we can go back to our inner listening.
The message which comes to us is very different in character.
It is a message of comfort, of reassurance.
It reminds us that we are here in an uplifting capacity as we express the ideas which identify us as complete and whole.
Inner listening and its standard of peace is the message we convey as we go about our business in the world.
We are not dependent on the ups and downs of various opinions and viewpoints, nor on economic trends nor family dramas.
We adhere to our calm standard, the one we receive from inner listening, and we act in accord with that directive and those messages.
This gives us the confidence and trust to continue our steps each day and to see uplifting conclusions.

Creating a Better World

Shared Global Vision –
Creating a Better World
When you see a need and you empower yourself to do something about it, you are a hero.
You overcome the obstacles by the strength of your great desire.
Such people act with great compassion which goes beyond ordinary personal abilities.
They create a desire in other people to see the thing enacted.
Without any experience in public speaking or fund-raising, they move ahead, taking the many tiny steps required to put their uplifting idea into action.
Their uplifting energy draws support.
Adults and children have been moved to take action through their emotional connection to service.
They have sewn teddy bears for sick children, created toiletry packs for street people, performed in hospitals and on the street and in orphanages.
They have created businesses sewing coats for street people and employed them, started Dignity Villages by coordinating services available for veterans, and for people with mental illnesses, started morning runs at shelters and attracted running shoes for participants.
They have started businesses which care for the environment, created recycling businesses, composting collection of kitchen waste, veggie garden installation and care.
They have started errand-running businesses for home-bound people, yard care, meal care, and conversation care.
They have started businesses on a larger scale, such as Habitat for Humanity.
They have started news businesses, such as Democracy, Now!
They have started by writing about issues and speaking about them, such as Charles Eisenstein.
They have coordianted reseach about solutions to world problems, and published their findings, such as Paul Hawken.
They have created art and sold it to take care of orphans from Ukraine.
All of these world improvement movements started with the idea of compassion and the desire to uplift the world in some way.
There are practical solutions to every problem and we can begin to act on that powerful principle.
Empowering yourself begins with your compassion and your willingness to take the many tiny steps.

Home Organization

Young Persons Mentor/Uplifted Parenting –
Home Organization
I see those who can create the comfort of home through organization as miraculous.
Those approaches which include everyone in the household are best.
Everyone makes a contribution in a unified way to create a good feeling.
One of my heroes is the mother of two of my students.
Her gentle approach with her children, whom she was also homeschooling, was very consistent.
When I visited their home to give some extra lessons, I saw the most beautiful layout of curriculum materials for the children.
Another hero of home organization is FLYlady.net. (Finally Loving Yourself)
She starts with one simple task and it is always her referral point.
Her way of supporting those who follow her schedule is very uplifting and funny and light-hearted.
She is real and down-to-earth.
Her skills are possible for anyone to do in fiteen minute increments.
It took me several months, but I was able to reduce all the paperwork lying around in stacks in my house to a small, manageable, current amount.
I appreciate the fact that “stuff” can be managed.
It can be prioritized. It can be released.
We need only to surround ourselves with beautiful, meaningful things.
We can discard what is too overwhelming to take care of.
We can free ourselves for more enjoyment with less clutter.
Step-by-step we can build consistency in how we care for our home.
Step-by-step, we teach our children their part, and increase it as they are ready to assume more responsibility.
Step-by step, we feel the relief of more freedom and happiness.
Step-by-step we do more fun activities.
We become our own heroes of home organization.

Insight and Courage

Your Diamond Mind –
Insight and Courage
One of the ways that heroes appear is when there is a great need, either a personal need or a need in society.
The books of Charles Eisenstein reflect his answers to society’s need.
This author deals with the great questions of how we interpret our life.
In his book, “Sacred Economics”, he defines our relationship to money and practical ways it can be uplifted to serve all people.
He deals with the “ascent” rather than the “descent” of man.
He shows how our common ground is in our unity and uplifting character.
He demonstrates his conviction through his own actions in taking care of his health and the ideals he shares with his young son and his readers.
His comprehensive look at the issues which concern him show a deeper thought than just “cleaning up” problems.
His writings help evolve the reader into a comprehensive view of solutions which create a new relationship to each other and to the earth.
Another writer who is forward-thinking in a big way, is Rob Hopkins.
His book, “The Transition Handbook” describes dealing with wyas to wean ourselves off oil dependency and ways to deal with climage change.
Since 2004, people have been creating “Transition Towns”, all over the world based on practical steps to build community resources.
His goal is for people to have local, sustainable solutions, within fifty to one hundred miles, which they can determine for their own locale.
These include food, transportation, and all the other things we need for daily living.
His own town of Totnes, UK even had a local currency for several years.
Intentional Communities begin with idealistic goals and develop practical ways to carry them out.
Eastwind Community in the US, has been in operation for over forty years.
Members live in a community and work for thrity-five hours per week on their business of making and selling and distributing organic nut butters.
The strength and courage of these leaders to define and share their ideals is very heroic to me.
Once again, I am grateful for their insight and implusion and courage to share them.

Uplifting ideas

Pebbles of Peace –
Uplifting ideas
I have long admired people who bring transformative ideas into public space.
Through my recent decades of research into prosperity, I have been brought into contact with many of them.
The Universe, of course, knows what we need most.
In that way, I was brought into contact with the writings of Joel Goldsmith and Michael Singer.
The first book I read by Joel Goldsmith was “The Thunder of Silence”.
It it, he introduces his idea of meditation.
He explains that, in short, five-minute segments, several times during the day, we can turn within for divine direction.
He, himself, was known to spend all night in prayer when doing healing work.
Michael Singer’s book, “The Untethered Soul”, describes his path as he discovered his connection to Spirit.
Both authors deal with a similar experience of realizing divine Presence.
Goldsmith speaks of a feeling of a Presence behind, and slightly above, him.
Singer writes of a feeling of Presence sitting next to him.
I began listening for a feeling of Presence.
I caught a glimpse one day when I was sitting on the edge of my bed.
I did not want to move or distract myself in any way.
I held very still.
It was like sensing something out of the corner of my eye, only it was with the “corner” of a feeling.
Since then, I have become very familiar with a feeling of Presence.
It is with me all the time.
I can turn within to listen for Its’ guidance at any time.
For me, it is a feeling of all-pervasive comforting and uplifting Power.
I am very grateful for this discovery.
I love sharing what I am learning about It.

Becoming your own hero

Loved Cherished Adored –
Becoming your own hero
I have admired people who became heroes as they dealt with the problems which came up in their own lives.
Mountain climbers, (“Three Cups of Tea”), environmentalists, (“Silent Spring”), teachers, (“Drawing with Children”), those people who move us into greater awareness.
My own journey is teaching me that I am a hero to myself as I overcome the problems which come up in my own life.
I am learning that I can create a new environment as I create new language to describe myself.
I am creating a new self-concept as I my put new description into practice.
“I love me” was the first vital new statement.
Then I gave myself permission to discover what I love to do.
That helped me align words, feelings, and action.
I do many things purely for the love of doing them.
This has opened the door to a new career as well as a new way to think of myself.
We come here equipped with a purpose.
When all else fails, we become impelled to discover it.
Instead of contracting, this expands our life.
We are guided into what is most important to the Universe about us.
We are led into the discovery of our relationship to our Higher Power.
When I am in a new place, I relate to it differently.
I am not caught up in my daily routine.
I can listen to my inner voice.
This speaks more and more clearly to me.
I accept the new shape of my life.
I do the work which is required of me to fulfill my purpose.
I am uniquely poised to do this as I respect my relationship with the Universe.
This is my heroic journey.

Sweetness

Pebbles of Peace Pathway 3.5 –
Sweetness
Taking the time to be appreciative of myself lets me move happily and peaceably through my day.
I can begin gently.
I am able to work on what is important, things I love and things that need to be done as part of a routine.
The sweetness of living this way is what appeals to me most.
It is fun to have a dynamic life, and I enjoy intense experiences.
But I also have time now to consider the way I do things.
I can do them in a way that is gentle, sweet, calm, and happy.
A peaceful way.
A way that takes into consideration what I love.
Now that I start with that, it adds a different hue to my day.
I am able to connect with people in simple ways.
I am able to get the help I need.
I am able to make a contribution in the way that suits me best.
Living with sweetness adds a dimension of appreciation that I have found in no other way.
